Face conveyors are the backbone of any longwall:
They act as the guide for the plow or shearer and as
an anchor for the advancing roof supports.
High-performance Bucyrus face conveyors are the most
powerful transport systems in underground mining. In
service worldwide, Bucyrus face conveyors have
achieved haulage rates of 5,000 t/h and even
greater at peaks.
The Bucyrus PF range offers the right line pan to
meet all longwall requirements: The PF 3 for
capacities up to 2,000 t/h and the PF 4, PF 5 and PF
6 line pans for higher capacities.
Specifications for AFC Line Pans PF6 Line Pan
The PF 6 is particularly suitable for mining in very
long panels in deposits of 20 million tonnes and
more. The PF 6 and PF 5 were specially designed
for use in difficult geological conditions such as
abrasive mined material or seams with difficult
adjacent rock. The modular design of the PF 6
separates extremely wear-resistant parts (i.e.
sliding surfaces) of hardened rolled steel and the
supporting substructure made of more elastic steels.
This means that cracks in wear parts are
unproblematic for the integrity of the line pan,
allow simple reconditioning, and guarantee long wear
resistance and high stability.
