Shovel Dipper
Stand at the mouth of a life-size Bucyrus Shovel Dipper. One of our actual dippers is just too large and weighs too much to be in our museum; using a life size photo and 3-D modeling of the teeth you get the real sense of just how large an 82 cubic yard dipper really is. This is a great photo opportunity.

Scale Models of Bucyrus Machines
It’s not easy to envision the mammoth size of
Bucyrus machines; so large they are only
fully assembled in the field. Scale models of
Electric Mining Shovels, Walking Draglines, and
Blasthole Drills are displayed alongside pick-up
trucks to appreciate the size of the machines that
fuel our future. View models of the
Bucyrus rail shovels responsible for
digging the Panama Canal between 1904-1914; the same
kind of rail shovels that Teddy Roosevelt sat on.
